Report from yesterday’s first team game from Jack Harrison.
Wrexham turned their attention to next weeks top of the table clash with COBRA following their 68-0 drubbing of Nant Conwy seconds.
The emphatic victory means Wrexham travel to the leaders next week two points off the top, hoping to exact some revenge following their only loss of the campaign earlier in the season.
After a cagey opening at Bryn Estyn Lane, winger Ed Evans did very well to cross in the corner for a converted score.
Nick Dodd then went over the whitewash after some good work from the backline who were fantastic all afternoon and threatened to score whenever they had possession, Sam Rogers was successful again.
The final score of the half came from the excellent Jacob Hughes who dived on the ball following a kick-ahead by Rogers, who converted.
The hosts pulled away in the second half, as Nant Conwy began to tire, the game became a lot wider and the Wrexham wingers were in dreamland.
Evans got his second and the vital bonus point score has he pulled away from a number of defenders to dot down in the corner.
Man of the Match Bailey Rae then took over, he firstly dived over in the corner following a quick counter attack, before breaking a tackle and running in from half way following a lovely team move.
Rae then grabbed his hat-trick as he gathered the ball out wide before stepping past the last defender and dotting down underneath the sticks.
The race for the match ball hotted up as Evans the beat a defender on the outside and dived over to complete his hat-trick.
Captain Jamie Weston, hammered his way over the line late in the second half before Rae completed the scoring by touching down for his fourth of the afternoon.
All eyes on next weekend.
